I'm So Old

Things that make me feel really old! I can remember....

• £1 notes
• 1/2p coins
• when Neighbours first started
• when pubs would shut in the middle of the day
• no mobile phones
• no internet
• no cable or satelite TV
• buying a 10p mix bag of sweets
• buying songs on vinyl and cassette
• making mix takes on blank cassettes
• getting home from school to watch Sons and Daughters or Young Doctors
• drinking Metz and Moscow Mule - whatever happened to them

It makes me feel old that....

• there are girls who are adults who are called Kylie because they were named after Kylie
• my baby brother has now left school
• that the Bridget Jones movie came out almost 10 years ago and I am now the same age as the character
• I inwardedly tut at what girls wear out when my skirts were probably shorter and my heels higher 14 years ago
• that I started University 13 years ago
• I have friends who have never heard of Bros and Five Star because they are too young
